About the Author

Born and grew up in Manila, Capital City of the Philippines. Took up law at a premier law school. A Masters, and a Doctorate in civil law at the oldest University in the Philippines; Attended on full scholarship the Academy of American and International Law, Southwestern Legal Foundation, Dallas, Texas, Summer 1982. Retired from law, judicial service and teaching; Member, President Ramon Magsaysay's Consultative Council of Students (Youth Cabinet); Past Grand Master of Masons, Past Grand Officer of York Rite Freemasonry, and Sovereign Grand Inspector General, Supreme Council, Scottish Rite Freemasonry, Honorary member, Aloha Temple, A.A.O.N.M.S., Shriners Based in Hawaii. Advisory Board, The Salvation Army (Philippine Command); Chaired a street-children and an environmental foundation; Served in a foundation for the rehabilitation of blind people; In a peace and order council, and chaired a Philippine translators committee (counterpart of the world-renown Bible Translators Summer Institute of Linguistics); Served with the YMCA, Member, Knights of Rizal, Poetry Club of Manila; International Awardee, Cross of Honor, Order of Demolay, Supreme Council, Kansas City; One of the founders of the Jury movement to install the jury system in the Philippines; Co-Authored with Bro. Sammy Fernandez the Masonic Historical Play on the first president of the Philippines, General Emilio Aguinaldo; With street children coordinator Dodos De La Cruz, Wrote the Play "Josephine B", The beloved Josephine Bracken of the Philippine National hero Dr. José P Rizal; With Bro. Jose Abejo composing the music, he wrote the lyrics of the U.P. Fraternity hymn, The Sigma Rho Anthem and they collaborated in writing the National Lawyers Integrated Bar of the Philippines Hymn; Wrote the lyrics of the U.P. Golden Jubilee Hymn; Published Numerous Poems in the Philippines; and here, three on the internet at www.poetry.com; and autograph hunter.

Recently joined the University Carillon United Methodist Church Mission Team to K37 Rio Claro Costa Rica, to rebuild a Methodist youth Camp; and in 1969, volunteered with Bro. Nes Gacusan as workers when the Rubi Tower building collapsed after a massive Earthquake in Manila. Devoted time and efforts to alleviating the plight of youthful offenders, teens, boys, girls, as young as nine years old, in the City rehab center.

Happily married to Zenaida C. Nabong for 45 years. They live in Orlando, Florida. They have four children, all married, and eight grandchildren.
