Shadow the space dog and Martin the astronaut worked for the international space centre. One day they were sent to rescue the Russian cosmonaut Anna, who was stranded in space.


About the Book

Shadow the Space Dog and Martin the astronaut fly a space ship which undertakes rescues, pirate control and other tasks on behalf of the International Space Centre on Planet Earth. Their first adventure is to rescue the Russian cosmonaut, Anna, whose space ship has developed a faulty oxygen converter. Martin brings the space ship close to Anna’s space ship so that Shadow can rescue Anna. They fly back to Moscow where a reception awaits them.



About the Author

Graeme is renowned for telling stories to his children, grandchildren, friends and sailing crew. Jean has taken these stories and turned them into children’s books with the help of their son Martin, who is a talented artist and the illustrator for this series of books.

Graeme and Jean both grew up on farms, one in New Zealand and the other in Australia. They have travelled extensively and lived in different parts of the world. Their adventures have included sailing a yacht around the south Pacific for a number of years. Graeme has been a pilot since the age of 16 and has an affinity with space, a dog called Shadow and her owner, Martin.
