About the Book
This is an Early childhood Education book, which teaches the alphabet to young children. The focus age for this book is birth to eight, although older children may enjoy it as well. The alphabet is not the prime focus of this book. My intent is for parents to work on successful parenting skills while reading to their young children. This book develops and enhances color recognition skills, letter recognition, and life skills for the child. This book also has 'life skill parenting' information for the parent - which is located at the end of the book. It contains various concepts of effective parenting and teaching techniques, giving parents trusted strategies as a tool to use while parenting. In addition, the young readers will benefit by learning to recognize the first 100 sight words. Repetition of sight words and colors throughout this book is an easy way for a child to learn.
This book is terrific tool to use; it encourages and develops excellent reading skills. It is important to begin this reading at an early age which will develop a love of reading that will carry on into their future as they become lifelong readers.
About the Author
Hello. My name is Chrisy Clay. I live in East Wenatchee, Washington raising three beautiful children with my loving husband, Garrod. I am the oldest of five siblings, learning from an early age how to help small children. My passion is helping and educating children on how to become life long givers and readers. I take pride in volunteering at my church home, Columbia Grove Covenant Church, and teaching others how to become supportive members of their community.
I have a degree in Early Childhood Education which led me to develop Hands on Learning Preschool which I operate as Lead Teacher for the past four years. I was a nanny for over eight years, having the opportunity to help three different families with young children. I have enjoyed working with children all my life. My mission is to build the confidence and self- discipline in each child through reading and story telling.
I have a passion for learning and present this book as a guide to share that passion with children, parents, grandparents, uncles, anyone who encourages the joy of reading.
