About the Book
The author is an 11 year old girl who had a great experience with a funny looking pony (Robinette). Because she has outgrown her pony, her parents are making her donate her pony to the Colorado Center for Theraputic Riding, which is outside Boulder Colorado. Through the giving process the author learns the age-old lesson that it is better to give than to receive. She learns that her pony is patient, gentle, loving, and is a steady pony for a special young rider name Lauren who has cerebral palsy. In the end, the author realizes that by giving up her pony, she has set in motion a beautiful thing and put her pony in a very noble place.
