Forever Victims

by Denise Campbell

"Manc Nightlife Society"; Jez keeps her twilight world under wraps until a night out unleashes a deadly series of bizarre events, exploring the occult whilst underlining the materialistic nature of modern society.

About the Book

Manchester city centre nightlife in the 21st century is a contemporary and ephemeral experience interlaced with a soupcon of meance. It attracts a strong alternative and fringe society as well as it's fair share of lads and ladettes.

Faye, Hope and Charity fall into the latter variety; completely secular, they worship the goddess 'Skinny' at the temple of the Trafford Centre and their daily mantra is 'me,' 'me,' 'me.'

By day they are highly paid professionals with homes, cars and clothes that reflect this and they give off an air of egotistical, intemperate cynicism.

Jez, the fourth woman in the group, is the antithesis of her friends; she is spiritual, selfless, kind and unassuming.

Without the others knowledge she supports her fatherless siblings and her mother by lap-dancing in XXXPleasure, a club owned by the creepy Jason, who seems to have a hold on the lovely Jez.

Not alone in her secrets though, her three friends are victims of their collective past too. Taken into confidence of each of them, Jez proves to be an excellent 'mother confessor,' and adviser.

Everything changes, however, when the women, returning from a night out at the 'Gay Village,' witness a murder - which results in them spinning headlong into a nightmare world of Satanism, horror and betrayal.
