About the Author
Debra Carol Saloom Strickland was born & raised in LA ("Lower Alabama") in the town of Enterprise: the youngest of 3 children born to Mike & Mel Saloom, and the 2nd generation of Americans of Lebanese decent. Debra worked for 30 years for Social Security in Dothan, AL, until she retired in April 2006. She has been married to Wayne Strickland for the past 15 years and lives in Cottonwood, AL with her husband and 2 dogs, Betsy & Louie. This is the first book that Debra has written & published as a legacy to her Mama & family traditions.
