About the Book

This book contains many poems written about people, places and situations that we have been put into in order to enrich our lives and to make us grow stronger in the process. When I first started this book it was considered as a sort of a therapy, as it was not good to keep everything bottled up inside of me, and I needed to express myself by putting all my thoughts and feelings down on paper.

Once I made the decision to start helping other people feel better by doing additional poems for them, it was then that my gift really developed and took flight and allowed other poems to flow freely and allowed this book to be complete.

The very first experience I had in expanding my limits was when I had the privilege of writing a poem for a cancer benefit, for my brother-in-laws brother, Jim Bratt. He really enjoyed the poem and he and his wife Debbie, placed it in a frame on top of their T.V. Set. It was after that, the poem helped her, in knowing the thoughts and feelings they shared over this poem, when he was no longer there, she still had something they cherished together. Till this day the card from the Funeral Home still sits in my wallet containing the poem, Trucking with the Grim Reaper. I pull it out to read it from time to time.

I did up a poem called A Penny for a Memory, it was after that I noticed brightly purple pansies growing under my swing, even throughout the winter months. I'm sure these were compliments of my Aunt Frances Wenger, and Great Grandmother Helen Wenger. I am sure even though I cannot see them; they will be with me always.
