Human awareness, how we perceive the world around us.
About the Book
After being encouraged, by the instructor and classmates in an art class, to illustrate for children's book, as a final art project I decided to put together a children's book. Keep Your Eye on the Prize is that book.
It is structured to encourage children to look for the gifts (prizes) in life. Working my way back after a life threatening illness, I've learned to look at the prizes/gifts in life and just how precious they are. So often we take these things for granted, forgetting just how valuable they are. It's never too early to learn that lesson.
About the Author
Jean Baker spent the first 40 years of her life in rural Minnesota. Being one of eight children on a farm she had alot of "prizes" around her most of her life. Working her way back after a life threatening illness she found herself with alot of time on her hands and alot of "prizes" to count and so many things to be grateful for. This book is structured to encourage children to look for their own "prizes in life" and to learn just how precious they are.
