About the Author and Illustrator

The author, Tamatha, is an avid reader, a devoted mother, and a friend to all animals. In 2005, she volunteered at a local "jump start" pre-kindergarten program building storyboards based on children's books. She loved the experience which combined fun and reading. When she and her son, Seth, lost their beloved pet, Buddy, she wanted to do something in tribute to Buddy, a testament to the love and fun Buddy inspired. In this, her first book, she has brought together her passion for children, animals, and reading. She and Seth worked together to create this wonderful adventure and hope that readers will enjoy the book.

Seth, a gifted young artist, has illustrated this book for young children with colorful animal characters with delightful expressions on their faces. In addition to his illustrations in this book, he is also a budding writer and hard at work on a first work of fiction. He was also best friend to Buddy.
