About the Book
The story begins in the year 2002 in Boston, Massachusetts, the cradle of liberty. The setting is an attic of an old house in Roxbury, Mass, a working class neighborhood in Boston, made up of mostly descendents of former slaves in America.
Times had changed, but two young girls, playing in the attic of their parent's home, were about to be catapulted back into history, and would relieve the days of abolishionist, slave catchers and meet a historical figure, Mr.Frederick Douglas. It is a captivating story of two sisters who bond together and through their travels, discover the America of the 1800's with all of it's different types of people and their beliefs.
About the Author
Rahimah Rahim is a Registered Nurse and Elementary School Teacher by profession. She began writing stories as a child when she and her sisters entertained each other on rainy days. She is married and the mother of 5 children . Rahimah works as a nurse full time and writes in her spare time. This is her second novel, her first was In Search of The Crystal Stair in 2004. She lives in Massachusetts.
