FINALLY!!!, a book with FUN, HUMAN VALUES and CHARACTER EDUCATION. Parents: This is a MUST READ. Children will enjoy the stories and learn valuable life lessons.

About the Book

There are many books written to entertain and provide fun for children. Books have been written on science fiction, animals, adventures and so forth. This book has been written not only to provide a sense of fun and excitement, but also to show children the value of character education. I wanted to show children how these human values such as telling the truth, being kind and polite and considerate, being peaceful and loving, speaking with respect, are an important part of their daily lives. Children need to feel loved and appreciated and this duty, as parents and teachers, to impart and reinforce these values in them, is perhaps the most important function we may carry out for them. Society is now asking questions about where we may have gone wrong as we look at the impact of violence within our youths. There are answers in our homes and communities and when we begin programs that include character education and human values at very early ages, the results will be overwhelmingly positive. Children are our future. Through the process of self inquiry, we need to examine what we are doing or need to do to provide them with a good start. It is the only way we will all have a good future.

Reviews

"He told The Camera that he wanted to write stories for children because of the changes he has seen in the society. "It is clearly evident that something is missing at the childhood level of education in our society right now so I wanted to produce something that could be very useful to the parent and the child as far as adult education of human values are concerned."

The book emphasizes human values

"the true jewels that make us really shine are hidden in our behaviour. We shine when these jewels such as truth, good conduct, kindness, compassion, doing the right thing, helping others and speaking with respect are worn as part of our character."

The Brampton Library has consented after review to now make this book available at all their branches!

About the Author

I was born on August 27, 1962, on the island of Trinidad, a tropical paradise in the Caribbean. I migrated to Canada in 1992 and currently reside in Brampton, Ontario, with Canadian citizenship. By profession, I am an Insurance Broker, and have been in the business of insurance since 1979. I have been involved throughout my life in education relating to human values and feel strongly that every education system should include such character education in their respective syllabus. I have a great love for reading and writing and have written on-line study programs for the insurance industry. This is my first attempt at publishing and I hope more than anything else children find value in it's contents.
