About the Book

It was Christmas Eve 1987, and I was alone. I had done various types of volunteering over my lifetime I did not wish to over expose myself as I had one attempting in my life. Bullets had been shot into my automobile while I was in it. I guess I just wasn't meant to die just the. I stayed away from my friend for their good, and it has been proven that helping someone else benefits the giver, as well as the receiver.

I picked up my phone, and after a couple of attempts I located a Salvation Army, Soup kitchen, and volunteered my services for Christmas. They turned me down, but gave a number of another kitchen. This feeding station also said did not need help for Christmas, as churched provide the Christmas dinner, and volunteers/members served that meat. Just as I was hanging up, I heard the voice say, "but can you come now?" After getting directions, I jumped into car and went...



About the Author

The author has two previous books Deaf, Dumb & Black and Prostitution of Our Constitution. Both are fiction as is this book, which covers two years of volunteering in Pensacola, FL, and in Tucson, AZ, where she now resides following the stroke and death of one of her twin sons.

Mary Miller Hall was born and raised in Columbus, OH, where she was refused a divorce by an illegal judgment from a convicted felon; an act which almost destroyed the authors life, and the lives of her children.
