About the Book
Children's Health Books - are picture books intended to teach and encourage young children to eat more nutritious and healthy foods.
Children will learn why good nutrition is key to building healthy and strong bodies while reading the "The Nutty Race". In the story, examples of good foods, popular fast foods and treats come to life and compete in a fun race. On the race to the finish line, the conversations between the participants will educate the reader about which foods provide the best nutrients and energy. Can you guess who is the winner?
About the Author
I have explored and studied nutrition and diet much of my life beginning with growing up in the mountains near Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Serious study and understanding, however, didn't begin upon my arrival to America 39 years ago. Negative physical effects of the new fast-food type diet I was presented with resulted in consequences after only a short period of time. Most importantly, though, my greatest motivation for my ongoing study of diet and good eating came with the birth of my three daughters and my desire to teach them how to maintain their physical well being through proper eating.
