A Family for Lil' Pup portrays a child who has had numerous changes of caregivers and difficulty forming emotional attachments with adults. The child who believes he is too bad to be loved, has learned he must protect himself and stay tough in order to survive. The child, represented by a young dog, finds himself once again in a new family. The story tells his thoughts, feelings and behaviours as he gradually learns to trust and accept the love in this new family.
About the Author
Linda is a mom to biological, step, foster and adopted children. She is also a special education teacher and studying to become a therapist. Linda is crazy about animals and uses them frequently in her work with children. The feathered and furry creatures far outnumber the people in her home. She currently lives with her husband Ron and two of their children in a suburb of Chicago.
