About the Book
Along Came Kelsey and Oliver is the first story in the Doxie Tales book series. This book was inspired by the author's true-life long-haired, Miniature Dachshunds, Kelsey and Oliver. Also fondly referred to as "hot dogs," Dachshunds have stolen the hearts of children and adults with their playful, affectionate and witty behavior.
This heartwarming story, along with its vibrant illustrations, tells the tale of two happy but homeless puppies who find an abundance of love, a warm home, and true happiness with their new family. It is certain to be loved by children of all ages.
The next two books in the Doxie Tales series titled, Kelsey and Oliver's Home Sweet Home, and Kelsey and Oliver's Circle of Friends, are planned to be released in 2007.
About the Author and Illustrator
Diana Tabacco-Peterson lives in New York with her husband, Steven, their son, Tyler, and their two long-haired Miniature Dachshunds, Kelsey and Oliver. She is looking forward to sharing her next Doxie Tales story with all the children of the world.
On Long Island, NY, Children's book illustrator, Melissa Bonfanti, lives with her husband Matthew, and sons Matthew and Vincent. She grew up in Sayville, a small New York town, and attended the University of Hartford, Hartford Art School, receiving a degree in Fine Art and Illustration. She received an M.A. degree in Art Education from Long Island University, CW Post.
