Seven-year-old Alan and his four brothers eagerly await the arrival of their Dad, home on leave from sea. What adventures lie in wait for them...

About the Book

Homecoming is a fictional story set in the northern isles of Scotland in the early 1960s. 7 year old identical twins, Alan and Steven, along with their three older brothers, look forward to the arrival of their Dad, home on leave after a year at sea.

The story tells how the boys mix work and play during the six long weeks of summer holidays on the croft where they live. It gives an insight into a way of life which is fast disappearing.

Living by the sea gives the boys the opportunity to roam along the seashore and go on fishing trips, but adventures usually bring hidden dangers. Find out more about this family, the carefree days and also the sadness when tragedy strikes.

The story gently tells of the love of God, and how important it is for each individual to place their trust in Him.
