About the Book

After retiring from 25 years of teaching in the Head Start Program, I was thinking about writing a children's book. A co-worker suggested a book on gun safety. After thinking about the need for this type of information, I enlisted my 4 grandchildren and my sister (who I think takes pretty good pictures), to help me with the book. This is the story of four young cousins, who find a gun in the woods while searching for their Grandma's lost cat. It explains what children should do if they find a gun. We hope the information in this book helps to keep kids safe in a similar situation.
