The diary of a 70 year old man of many talents, a civil war veteran; family man; and a pillar of the community.

About the Book
This is the diary of a 70 year old man who had survived the Civil War with the loss of one lower leg. He was vain enough that he had one of the best prostheses available. Following the war he married. His first daughter died with Diphtheria. Two sons and a daughter survived but his wife died following the birth of a second daughter. During his life after the war he was a farmer but also ran a saw mill, had employees delivering coal, served at different times as Justice of the Peace and Post Master. This is a diary of the last year of his life. I found it interesting and hope that you will as well.
Isaac died in his sleep about three days after the last entry. The story is that he attended a square dance the evening before, kissed all the young girls good night and went home and went to sleep for the last time.
