About the Author

I was born only 300 meters from the beach known as "Mar Brava" or "Brave Beach", in the Port of Callao, On August 30, 1965. I finished my elementary school at "Luisa de Sabogal", located just few streets away from the "Royal Philip Castle" or "Castillo Real Felipe". My High School passed in the Educational Institution "Republic of Venezuela", in the urbanization of "Santa Marina". I remember that my favorite courses were History, Literature, Geography and Logic. In that epoch, when I was eleven years old, I started writing my first poems, simultaneously as every boy, It was a great fan to practice all sports and games of neighborhood tradition as the "lingo", "the spinning top toy", "the seven sins". Also at "Mar Brava beach" I liked to fish myself in the shores of the breakwaters. From there I observed immense ships and planes to get lost at the gray and mysterious horizon. I believe that the sense of the adventure and the love for the trips they were starting arising then from my imagination.

After having finished the high school, I appeared as volunteer to the "Castle of the Royal Philip" where I served in a paratrooper's battalion called "Guardia Chalaca No. 40", belonging to the First Airborne Division of the Army. After service at the mother land I register in the school of Merchant Sailors, in "Chucuito Callao", after six months of studies I graduated from the academy and soon after got embarked in an oil tanker, I begun then my journey sailing out through overseas waters of many producing countries and recipients of this black gold. I crossed the famous "Panamá Channel" in several occasions. The wonderful of my voyages in high seas is that I enjoyed the spectacular dolphins so much of the Caribbean Sea as well these in the Pacific Ocean, I had a great day of fishing few miles away from the port of "Esmeraldas" in Ecuador, visited the "Monitor Huáscar" (an old war vessels from the XIX century) in Talcahuano-Concepción-Chile, enjoyed seeing from the Hudson river the immense "Freedom Statue" in New York and the great Island of Manhattan, among other unforgettable places of the world.

Product of a permanent learning extracted from the quarries of the knowledge as well as of the own vital experience, I know diverse matters but the destiny has stimulated me, with great consent of my part, to the path of poetry. Mercy to this lyric work, I have been recognized by the International Library of Poetry with headquarters in Washington DC, The United States of America. Several poems included in the present book have been published by this organization without purposes of profit, in a compilation book that grouped " The Best Poems and Poets of 2005 ". Also I received from this international society of poets an "Award to the Merit" in year 2006 and 2 Publisher(Editor) Choice Awards 2000 and 2005 (prizes chosen by the publisher(editor).

Nowadays, from 1990, I reside in the warm city of San Jose, located 50 miles South of San Francisco and 30 miles to the east of the maritime resort of Santa Cruz, separated by a chain of hills that reach even 1500 feet of height. The idea of writing this book arose in 1997, when after graduating from the academy of Tourism and Trips I fulfilled a familiarization tour of possible tourist places of Perú. When for the first time I arrived to the "Paracas's" site museum, I observed, between dazzled and surprised, human remains belonging to the "Long Heads culture". I started investigating thoroughly on the topic and I believe sincerely that the world must be informed about this rich Cultural "Paracas civilization", and perhaps this way to learn to value and to save the good customs and examples of these ancient humans, intelligent, mysterious and only beings in its kind.

I have planned this work with dedication and veracity in the sources. I hope so that it will serve the student and to the urgent investigator in order that they continue poking on the topic. It is directed also to the delight and always receptively daily reader. I feel pleased to contribute with this information, of which I expect new ideas and hypothesis can arise. Finally I have assembled a set of poems dedicated to the epic of the former men of Perú, who built for us the Lines of Nazca, to the untied force of nature in addition to contemporary philosophy in diverse free topics. Each of these compositions leave witness of my faithful respect for the poetical word that in good bill is a lyric testimony of my adhesion to the life, to the heroic creation of hope and love.
