by J. G. Sumner

280 pages; quality trade paperback (softcover); catalogue #07-0100; ISBN 1-4251-1730-9; US$19.86, C$19.86, EUR13.57, £10.25

A young physicist becomes a pilot and a skydiver as part of his preparation for saving the world. This fictional tale offers one view of current world events.

About the Book

After many years of research, a young physicist acquires what he has been seeking, albeit in an unexpected manner. He then uses his acquisition to save lives and prevent injustices around the world, but soon learns that the President of the United States plans to confiscate his unique possession. Now he is faced with the difficult task of avoiding the clutches of the President, while making a decision that will impact the entire world and test his most basic beliefs. While this book is a work of fiction and attempts to entertain, it also conveys a political message and a warning for American voters.

About the Author

J.G. Sumner holds a master's degree in physics and a private pilot license, and has made two thousand parachute jumps. Four of the jumps in which he participated set new world records. During his career in education, he taught physics, engineering technologies and mathematics at the college level. The final five years before his retirement were spent as the Director of Aviation and Engineering Technologies at a Florida college. He now lives a quiet life near his family in rural Tennessee.
