About the Author

My name is Delores Paul but everyone calls me "Dee" and I am not a professional writer. Born and raised in the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan. I was married for eighteen years and had two children, a daughter Renee, and a son Philip. I was a hairdresser for about ten years, and a successful salon owner.

I became a single mother after my divorce, and that encouraged me to go back to school, and receive my degree as a Registered nurse. I was a charge nurse on a cardio vascular care unit for many years. I enjoyed, and found my work very rewarding.

I became disabled in 2001, due to some neurological problems. I discovered at that time that the insurance that I and the hospital paid to give me security, should I become disabled actually left me more vulnerable. After years of fighting a legal battle for what was rightfully mine I decided to write this book to reveal the truth regarding a law called ERISA, in hopes to change this law so no one else will ever have to go through what I did.
