The story is set around Whitby in the early 19th century. A young girl and her younger brother evicted from their home in Guisbrough; travel to Whitby. Taken to a workhouse for children, they are badly treated. An evil Captain sells some of the children into slavery. Others flee into the nearby moorlands. From the time of their departure from Guisbrough and the following years, they and those around them encounter murder, slavery, rape, and much more. An exciting tale of right versus wrong.



About the Author

Don Haigh was born in Middlesbrough. He now lives with his wife Hilda, in Leeds, West Yorkshire. Now retired and an invalid, he spends much of his time writing. His other interests include history and photography, purely as an amateur.
