A thriller involving a kidnapping by a mad scientist who believes his dreammaker device can act as a panacea for mental illness.
About the Book
Searching for a method to cure mental illness, a scientist (John Springer), creates a dreammaker device. This device transposes written narratives into dreams which are electronically transmitted into a person's mind. Hoping to relieve his own agonizing loneliness, John finds a woman at a bar (Rita) and tells her about his invention. After she rebukes him for creating such a device, John kidnaps her and hooks her up to his invention. A psychological battle between the dreammaker's manipulative messages and Rita's own personal nature emerges, and winds out into harrowing ending.
