About the Book

I began writing the poems as a result of a dream which I tell about in the first poems. The title is from the reference to the song mentioned in Revelation 14 that only the 144,000 can sing.

My deceased husband's youngest brother Douglas and I had a licensed boarding home taking care of six elderly people. When we had to give it up due to a back injury I got when keeping one our guest from falling. I told him that I thought I would now write the book I had been considering writing for some time. He said, "Why don*t you write poetry?" I never thought about that and did not know if I could. But when I remembered my dream and started writing about God's love, the words flowed as I wrote many poems. I put several little booklets together and gave them to my friends who enjoyed them and encouraged me to write more. When 9/11/01 happened, my son Joel told me to write about that. So about two weeks later I was inspired to write the poem included in this book. I gathered the poems in this book together form ones written over the last 30 years. They tell about the Holy Spirit and the power we are promised in Joel 2. Peter said this was fulfilled on the day of Pentecost, but that was just the beginning. Now it is time form the complete fulfillment.

I always liked to write, and wanted to write a book. This book is a fulfillment of my dream.
