A Bunch of Cats

by Judy Barnhart

14 pages; Saddle stitched; catalogue #07-0419; ISBN 1-4251-2015-6; US$7.30, C$8.40, EUR5.69, £3.77

An alphabet book for anyone, of any age, who loves cats - or enjoys looking at pictures of cats.

About the Book

My passion for teaching reading, collecting alphabet books, and the five cats whose lives I share, have all been combined into this book for people of all ages. What cat lover, of any age, doesn't enjoy looking at photographs of cats? And, besides enjoying the pictures, even the beginning reader can use (or be guided to use) this book to develop and expand vocabulary. The book's main purpose, however, could probably be considered to be ENJOYMENT!

About the Author

Judy Barnhart holds degrees from The Ohio State University and Florida Atlantic University, and has been an elementary school teacher, counselor, and resource specialist. She lives, with her husband and the five cats featured in this book, near Sebring, Florida. The Barnharts have had two grown children and two granddaughters. Other books by Mrs. Barnhart include:

The Wonderful World of Charley Sparkle (A very special book about a very special cat)

Christmas Cookies Are for Any Time You Need Them (About a young woman who is losing her beloved grandmother to Alzheimer's Disease)

The Stories to Start With (A collection of six short children's stories with many related activities)

Split Decisions (A collection of short, problem solving, children's stories, each with two different endings, to illustrate the different outcomes resulting from the decision chosen)

Friends in Need (A series of notes, written to the reader, to be used as a starting point for thinking and discussing a large variety of problems-test taking, abuse, vandalism, cheating, etc.- which may be faced by students every day)
