About the Authors

For the past fifty years Wayne has been producing curriculum films worldwide, in the field of Social Studies, for elementary and secondary school classes ( forty films still in distribution... see www.afana.org/mitchellw.htm ). He has also been involved in a few minor occupations such as teaching at Miami University, staff cameraman to J.F. Kennedy, National Park Ranger, war correspondent (NBC) in Kashmir and in Viet Nam. Director of Photography for a few feature films in Hollywood, a volunteer to UNICEF Children's Fund, story teller ( "Tall Tales of The Old West" ), and heavily involved with several Native American Indian tribes. He's now retired from film making, but busy writing books and magazine articles of his experiences with anthropology, ethnic art, and tribes around the world.
