About the Book
Need help with your anger? Well this book is for you! Starving the Anger Gremlin will show you how to understand and control your anger using fun and interesting activities.
Starving the Anger Gremlin is a ground-breaking activity-based self-help book aimed directly at young people. This innovative anger management programme is based successfully on principles of cognitive behavioural therapy and is a highly effective tool for young people to work through, either on their own or with the assistance of a parent or practitioner. The anger management programme contained in this book has been tried and tested with many young people in one-to-one therapeutic sessions, as a self-help tool and in group training programmes. Starving the Anger Gremlin is easy to read and is full of relevant examples and real-life stories.
"The Anger Gremlin has changed my life!"

The layout provides a modern client-centred, problem-orientated, activity-based approach. Starving the Anger Gremlin is an admirable little masterpiece!"

About the Author
Hi! I'm Kate and I'm a psychologist, therapist and anger management consultant. I have considerable experience of working with young people on a wide range of different issues, including anger, and also with parents and professionals on how to teach anger management skills to young people.
The need for a book on anger management aimed at young people themselves became evident through this work. This book is about teaching young people to help themselves by learning about the basics of anger and how to control it, but in an interesting and easily accessible way through activities. The approach that this book takes has been tried and tested with many young people since I began my career. Some of these young people have in fact contributed their stories, their thoughts and their drawings to this book in order to help others to learn to control their anger like they have.
In a nutshell, what I wanted to do was to spread the word on how to manage your anger far and wide, but in a simple, fun, easily readable and interesting way. I hope this book achieves this. I'll let you be the judge.
Happy reading!
Kate
