About the Author and Illustrator

C. M. Pleitez has been an elementary school teacher since 1996. She lives in Southern California with her three daughters Nuria, Sarah and Christina. Her inspiration comes form her children and her students. She loves to laugh and loves nature. C.M. Pleitez was born and grew up in Torreon, Coahuila, Mexico and received her secondary and post secondary education in Southern California. She loves to learn and to travel and sees the possibilities for adventure in everything she does form gardening to teaching.

Illustrator Penny A. Jones is currently living in San Bernardino, California with husband Chuck Jones and their cat Susie.
