The Run of the Rabbit

by Kathleen Steele

223 pages; quality trade paperback (softcover); catalogue #07-0679; ISBN 1-4251-2278-7; US$18.86, C$21.69, EUR14.71, £9.75

Why should those farmers be chasing around looking at the teeth of sheep? Could this have something to do with two hapless civil servants, or is it something far more sinister?

About the Book

Intriguing and provoking are words that Liz Redman could have used to describe the writer who came to stay in that quiet rural village. But if it was peace and tranquility that Adam Breton had initially sought, he was scarce going to discover this in the shadow of Langdale! Even as more knowledge emerges concerning the background to this unexpected visitor however, the long talons of Westminster stretch out in their quest to seek a solution to the foreseeable power crisis of the future so that they might secure the future of a nation! Once the Government intimates making a movement in any direction however, it has also to cope with its unusual quota of parasites, who seek only to satiate their own appetite in wealth and influence!

Is it possible them that against this turmoil, the quiet Lakeland district can weather such a storm, or will indeed this area become tarnished forever?

Burrow deep to seek the truth!

About the Author

Hi there, my name is Kathleen Steel and I spring from the North West of England from a little place called Blackpool, 'that is well know for fresh air and fun!' Enjoying frequent visits to the Lake District National Park because of its close proximity to my home and also because it provides a great motivating force for writing, it was in this spirit of fun, and after reading the current news of the day, that the question of what if ----- first occurred to me? This book is the end product of such thought and I must insist it was written very much with tongue in cheek! My thanks once again to my husband Jim for his patience in proof reading and also in the composition of the music to go with the book and also to my grandson Laurence who is far more technologically equipped than I can ever hope to be!
