Eddie's journey is truly remarkable. Father and husband at just sixteen, involved with local villains, and encountering spirits form physical and metaphysical worlds. You'll never read another story like this!!

About the Book

Eddie Allen was born into a South London family and was much the black sheep of the family from the outset. While his brothers and sisters enjoyed a typical childhood in sixties Peckham and Old Kent Road, Eddie endured beatings with bicycle chains, table legs and his fathers bare fist. But Eddie's remarkable cockney spirit shone through and he survived the abuse with remarkable dignity and humour.

One cold November evening when Eddie is just eleven years old, he receives a good beating from his father and then is locked in his bedroom for the night; not even allowed to leave the room to use the bathroom. This night is the catalyst in Eddie's journey. A vision of his dead grandfather appears during the night and thus begins a lifetime of visits from spirits, both good and evil. The spirit of Eddie's grandfather becomes his constant guardian and he helps Eddie as he struggles with various obstacles thrown at him by his topsy-turvy world. Eddie has never told his story before and now, aged fifty, he tells of his violent upbringing and reflects on how a strong belief in spiritualism has guided him through the difficulties of his childhood into adulthood, his marriage and fatherhood at sixteen, his spell in prison, his exploits in Saudi Arabia and Egypt, the struggle to find work and his life-long battle with evil spirit, Tyzak, who has travelled many life times in search of Eddie. This is a remarkable insight into how a man copes with a troubled past and his encounters with spirits from both the physical and metaphysical worlds.

About the Author

In my experience, very few people know of the enormous impact brought to bear upon us earth dwellers from those outside influences often referred to as 'the spirit world'. During the course of our busy lives, few of us pause for very long to dwell on the notion of eternity. It's a difficult concept to get our heads around; not least because it involves imagining a time when we won't exist and marrying it up with a time before we came into being. But part of us is timeless; our spirit/soul has travelled infinite miles before finding its human hosts bodies and will carry on along its eternal journey long after our physical being ceases to exist. The spirit/soul is as wise as it is immortal.

During my life, which has spanned the last mortal 49 years, I have had many encounters with the 'other side' it is my opinion that the spirit should not be taken lightly. We are all here on earth for a reason and we all have a time frame within which to find the right path for us to travel, and to get in touch with our own spiritual self. Much of the time, however, is taken up by surface reading. We judge people by their looks and what they have gained materialistically, but what you surface-see is only that persons overcoat. Look deeper and beyond and you will find the real spirit, then, and only then you should feel free to pass judgement on what you find. As a child I was taught that the eyes were the windows to your spirit and soul. As I grew older and met many people along my path, I have tended to agree with this! The eyes show love, kindness, pain, sorrow, sadness, evil and horror even. You may stand before me as the 'perfect' size eight with long blond hair, or as bald as coot with a jelly belly hanging over your waist-band. Your body is just an overcoat; the real person before me lies inside looking out. Similarly, the survival of the spirit after the death of the body is not dependant on whether you have been good or bad. Universal law dictates that all souls/spirits survive the death of their host. For an example, when you buy a coat in a shop it fits nicely, however, after many years of use it becomes old and baggy and thus time to discard it and buy a new coat, the same principle exists with the spirit/soul. The physical body is capable of lasting only a certain time. Once worn, the spirit moves onto another host in order to carry on its journey. One of the most fascinating things that happens daily on this planet is the spirit world guiding us towards the right path and helping us along our journey. It goes largely unnoticed, however; we tend to put things down to coincidence or fate or just plain old-fashion good or bad luck. There is a well-known saying that says spectators see more of the game than the players. As the players in a universal game, it is we humans who are being watched by those in the spirit world. But they are far-seeing, observing not just the beginning, middle and the end of the game, but before and after also. They have already experienced all that we are going through now, and have a desire to help us on our journey...
