If your presupposed idea of a preacher is that he does not know of the dirt of this world and will never speak of it, think again. He had better be aware of it, speak of it and be ready to fight Satan on his own turf wherever he is found!

About the Book

Books by preachers by standard are usually about some religious event or insight rarely do they deal with the raw side of life, let along the vulgar.

Yet life in its great assault against mainkind, in reality at its height, is the most vulgarity can produce!

This book of twelve journals tells a harsh truth and looks at life unveiled in its most irrational state of being.

Because this book is so harsh, I take this time to prepare you. If your presupposed idea of a preacher is that he does not know of the dirt of this world and will never speak of it, think again.

He had better be aware of it, speak of it - sometimes in its most guteral language, yes - and be ready to fight Satan on his own turf wherever he is found!

This book is written for every P.T.S.D. exhibitionist that a Vietnam vet ever had and for those "that fear not the night!'

About the Author

My name is Larry Middlebrooks Sr. I was born in Chattanooga Tenn! I was raised in my younger years from birth in the year of 1951 until 1956 by my Great Grandmother a Cherokee indian by the name of Lucy Bly and an escaped slave by the name of Joe Bly.

After my Grandmother became too old and crippled and hard of sight, she called for my Great Aunt who lived in Bluefield, VA. to come and take us, my sister and myself, into her home, as she did: myself at the age of 6 and my little sister at the age of 3 years old!

I began writing at the age of 12 years old. The desire to write just overwhelmed me that afternoon on a sunny day in the Fall of the year 196 and the odd thing is I did not even have paper to write upon, as we were very poor living in the mountains of the Appalachians.

The desire to write a poem overtook me. Seeing a brown paper bag I tore it open and smoothed out the material into a sheet; and with a dull ponted pencil I wrote my first poem entitled "Quick Silver" of which there is no intact copy left.

I have gained noteriety from the "International Society of Poets" of which I have been awarded "outstanding Achievement in Poetry" by the International Society of Poets on 21st August 05.

Also the Certificate of Accomplishment for "Skilled Poet" in the same a medal for "Expert" as skilled poet!

Also the Certificate of Accomplished for "Skilled Reviewer" and the Medal "Judge Advocate"!

The "Silver Bowl Trophy" from the Poets Society!

I am published in 'Twilight Musings' - the book Ely's Choice Poets the title "Daze" by Larry Middlebrooks copyright 2005 by the International Library of Poetry.

Also in the Best Poems & Poets of 2005 Book and Howard Eley's Choice! This under the title of "Ancient Age" by Larry Middlebrooks.

There are many accomplishments over my life as the military awards and medals such as the "Medal Palm" the Republic of Vietnam Service Award Medal equal to four Bronze Medals of War! The National Defence Medal for Service in Active Duty during war time and peace time service.

These are a few of my steps taken on my journey to my book (At The Crss) - no, not mis-spelled!
