About the Book

I decided to write this book about my contribution to the Second World War. There is now another war going on and all anyone reads or hears about was the fighting and killing. There is two parts to a war. The fighting units and the support units. I was in a support unit and I have to say if any of the support units were not doing their job the fighting units could not do their job.

About the Author

I came into this world in Canada and my family brought me to the United States when I was one or two months old. My entry into this country was not registered. In other words I was in this country illegally. I did not know that but the Army found out. I was given a choice of becoming a citizen or going back to Canada. You can guess what my choice was.

When I as about fourteen I met a nice young girl that was visiting from Canada and we wrote letters back and forth. When I got out of the Army I went to see her and there was love at first sight. We were married shortly after that and we had a happy life for over fifty-five years.
