About the Author

Jan Buley has been addicted to writing with children for a long long time. When she and her husband were completing their doctoral work in the US, Jan gathered the poetry and prayers for "Big Hopes from Big Hearts" during some writing workshops she conducted in various Sunday schools in New Jersey and Georgia. The children had never been invited to write about their dreams for a better world and wrote freely and openly about everything under the sun. "It was like I had suddenly given them permission to share these thoughts," Jan remembers saying to a fellow teacher. You will hear their honesty and strong voices in their writing.
