About the Author
Hi there again! Two newsworthy factors plus living myself in the part of the country where they took place, were perhaps the instruments that first planted the seeds of this novel in my head. The first of these concerned the tragedy of the Chinese cockle pickers in Morecambe Bay; the second was, from Blackpool where I live, it was possible to see the development of Shell Bank; the planting of those wind turbines and the boat that appeared to stand on legs! As these places were within easy access for me to visit for myself the story then subsequently developed in the locale that it was written about.
My thanks once again to my husband Jim for his patience in proof reading and also in the composition of the music to go with the book and also to my grandson Laurence who is far more technologically equipped than I can ever hope to be! And thanks also to your good selves for reading the novel. Hope you enjoy!
Regards - Kath Steele
