To help children realize that pets are not much different from them, and that a commitment to a pet is very important and special. I would like to encourage children to have a pet, and that pets can be fun as well as a commitment. If a pet is treated with love, respect and care, the love and devotion in return is incredible.
About the Author
Coming to Vancouver from a Prairie Farm was a huge change for me. My years of living on a farm in Alberta gave me a mighty appreciation for books. The few books that were available gave me so much pleasure, that I always wanted to write.
Most of my stories are based on true experiences with Family and Friends. I love Children and have always worked with them one way or another, so there have been many opportunities for ideas. A great deal of inspiration has come from my own children, grandchildren, and working with youngsters in Children's Ministry at my Church. Working in the School System, and with many other young people has touched my heart and given me an abundance of creative thoughts.
