About the Book

Jim Turner's A Promise Not Keptfollows Would you join a study that could predict the date you'll die? Would you choose to find out that date? What would you do with that information once you had it? Jim Turner's A Promise Not Kept follows Harry Adkins' journey through the morass of issues that arise when he enrolls in the Healthy Hearts Live Longer study --a study that gives him the choice to find out when his last day will be. Harry Adkins, a successful international businessman with a wife, two kids, and a lover in Japan, opts to get the date. What he does with that information and his decision to tell no one is chronicled in this story of how one man deals with such formidable knowledge. Though-provoking and compelling, A Promise Not Kept allows the reader to experience the joys and sorrows of Harry's quest to outlive the prediction and the ensuing results, and a nagging threat against him and his family by a convicted serial murderer.
