About the Author

My name is Kirsty-Anne Henwood I have been writing since the age of fifteen poetry and short stories so you could say it was a passion of mine.

I was Born on 16th December 1975 I grew up in a town called Walthamstow in London and am the oldest of seven girls so my own childhood was never boring. My sisters and I used to spend hours making up different games and adventures in our back garden. I spent a lot of my childhood with my head in a book reading fairy stories and other fantastic adventures whether it be Enid Blytons books or reading "“The adventures of Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn” or “The Secret Garden” I thank all of these authors for inspiring me and capturing my imagination from such a young age, that is why I wanted my own stories to capture that magical element of years gone by but give it a fresh modern edge.

I currently live in Loughton, Essex with my partner and two beautiful twins Ryan and Molly, there love and innocence have been a joy and an inspiration, and as I take my new journey into motherhood and the new challenges that come with it, I wish to continue challenging myself with my writing to come up with fresh and imaginative stories for children all over the world to enjoy.

As there is nothing more sacred than the memories and wonders of childhood and the adventures you experience of the imagination.
