About the Author

Born and raised in Oakland California in November of 1979, and blessed to be in a family laced with a natural sense of humor and social awareness, Leona Dozier had a well of culture, diversity, adversity and individuality to mold her character and personify her depth as an author. Growing up in the church, being the eldest sibling in a strict home with continuous curiosity in history, human nature, relationships, family and good home cooking, the past fifteen years of her life proved to be one big book report assignment.

Although she was a constant sponge to wisdom and ageless common sense from seasoned family members,friends of the family, and sensible acquaintances that had been around the block a few times, God blessed her with mounds of faith, wisdom and testimonies of her own. For a girl that couldn't be bold to save her life growing up, God surely gave her gifts and talents that were strange for a shy person. Even though poetry was her first love and best friend at times, writing Gospel songs and singing them was definitely not her plan. Nevertheless, when God impregnated her with words in various forms, she was driven to transform and deliver.
