About the Book
Foxy of Verona Island is the tale of a clever little red fox named Foxy. Foxy lived on an Island off the coast of Maine, long before it was settled by humans. Foxy had the run of his island home. He enjoyed the changes of the seasons and its beautiful New England scenery. Life was good on Verona Island. There was plenty of food and very few dangers... That is until Claude Wolf came to the Island. Claude was a greedy and selfish animal who cared very little for the beauty of Foxy's Island. Claude was only interested in one thing: food. Wolves never came to Verona and Foxy was worried that this new predator would upset the island's natural balance by gobbling up all the rabbits. The cunning red fox had a plan. If he could trick the self-centered wolf into accepting a free-lunch, Foxy knew he might be able to get rid of Claude and make his island safe again.
