About the Book

Join Pas and Po in their father and son journey through the mountains of Tibet and India.

Designed to be read aloud to preschoolers and enjoyed by beginning readers. This colorful, action- filled story book is written in two languages - Tibetan and English. It is a great way for children to have an understanding of the Tibetan exile from China (Tibet). The unique languages offer an opportunity for Tibetan children to learn English and for Canadian children to learn Tibetan.

Follow Po and Pas as they run from the great white tigers and find freedom with the monkeys in a distant and new land.

Po and Pas, father and son panda bears, are chased by white tigers as they leave their homeland of Tibet. Fearing for their lives, they begin a journey to India. Twenty-one days of travel through the mountains brings them to a land where the monkeys welcome them and share everything they have.

This journey reminds each of us that we have mountains to climb. We must learn to accept our journey and destiny with a smile as would a Buddhist Monk.
