About the Book

Ben Pullman is a year 8 student who boards at Tristram Grammar School where he is adopted by a scruffy black and tan dog he calls "Little Buddy". While home on their property 1 1/2 hours north west of Sydney, they see what looks like a mobile phone being born. This is an adventure story where the mobile phone learns to walk, talk and eventually fly becoming a super-hero solving all kinds of difficult problems that Ben and Little Buddy encounter.



About the Author

Robin Bates was born in New Zealand and raised in Australia. After marrying her husband, John in 1965, she had a daughter and son. The family were then transferred on business to Tokyo, Japan in 1974. Two more daughters were born in Tokyo and the family remained there for nearly 10 years.

Robin's life changed dramatically when her husband died following surgery in 1981 resulting in the family's move back to Sydney in 1983.

Now that all her children are married, Robin felt it was time to bring the stories running through her mind - to life. Robin hopes all her readers enjoy what she expects to be the first of many novels: Tough Stuff - Book 1.
