Genesis is not just the story of Adam and Eve, it's your own story and a roadmap helping you understand why you are here and how you can return home.
About the Book
Genesis: Your Journey Home is a groundbreaking book that goes far beyond the usual levels of biblical interpretation. It bypasses word definition, root studies, historical explanations, and the ideas taught by religion that are difficult to understand but are important. At the same time, the book does not gloss over the many texts that are more challenging to our modern sensibilities, as the tendency of "new agers" searching for traces of truth to legitimize their claims.
This book examines the first twenty-five chapters every verse, word by word, exploring and revealing the deeper metaphysical (beyond the literal) meaning of the text. Most people know that there are multiple levels of truth contained within the Bible, but until now none have brought forth the ultimate Truth hidden within the mundane, semi-historical writings. Rather than creating new doctrines, this book gently peels back ALL levels of dogmatic views to reveal the true core essence of God, humanity and the nature of reality. Deep within the ancient biblical texts is found the true record of creation, the reason for our very existence, and the history of All That Is.
This book is an invaluable gift to a generation that is searching for authenticity, purpose and a sense that truth lies somewhere beyond religious teachings but who are reluctant to discard the inherent value of scripture. This book brings comfort, personal empowerment, a new understanding of God, and fosters a renewed sense of responsibility for life. It is a book whose time has come at last, as it brings humanity to a deeper understanding of God and a realization of their ultimate purpose.
About the Author
Terry Newbegin was born in 1948 in Caribou, Maine. He married in 1967 and had four children who are now grown and has blessed the family with grandchildren. Though Terry has been a successful entrepreneur for over thirty years, his greatest passion is for biblical study that extends beyond the literal writings of scripture. That passion found its direction late one night in 1975. While lying in bed, Terry was visited by three Franciscan Monks who told him that in this lifetime he would learn the truth about God. A few months later Terry felt immense energy around him and heard words "spoken" into his mind: "Write a book about Genesis." Of course, his reply was, "How can I write about Genesis? I am not a writer or even educated to be a writer!" The answer came very clearly: "Learn to feel and understand the wisdom within the book and then write the interpretation of that wisdom." So, in the late 1970s, Terry began studying the Book of Genesis, chapter by chapter, verse by verse. Then after reading these verses over and over, he began to see them in a new light, noticing a message hidden behind the words and stories. Terry began to realize that God-or someone-was trying to tell him that the true message of the Bible is far deeper than it appears. This book is the result of those years of passionate study into the true meaning hidden deep within the stories of the Bible.
