Tim taught his children the parable of the Sheep & Goat for years, because it conveys what a right relationship with God involves - that we live lives of love and compassion.

In the parable, Jesus says at the end of the world he's coming back to judge us. He'll separate the people as a shepherd separates the Sheep from the Goats. He'll put the Sheep on his right and the Goats on his left. To those on his right he'll say, "Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat..." (Please read Matthew 25: 31-46.)

Tim has fond memories of sharing this parable with his children while putting them on his knees... bouncing them from knee to knee... and when they landed on his right knee, he'd say, "Yah! We're with the Sheep. Enter the kingdom!"

Tim wrote this book because he simply can't put all the children of this world on his knees to bring this message to life.

Tim and his wonderful wife, Roberta, have four incredible children, Rachel, Stephen, Paul and Naomi.
