Rabbit learns the hard way that no matter how many friends you already have, one more friend is even better.
About the Book
Rabbit always enjoys the company of his friends, Squirrel and Raccoon, but when a friendly Moose wants to join them for a picnic… well, let's just say that Rabbit's diplomacy and social skills just aren't as good at that point as they become later when Rabbit finally has his picnic at the end of the book. The flow of Rabbit's experience has real life parallels that a young reader can identify with and learn from.
About the Author and Illustrator
Del Gusenius is a retired Software Engineer who lives in a log cabin in rural Arizona with his wife and some house cats. Their three kids have long since flown the coop, but Carmen returned to the scene long enough to illustrate this story for your enjoyment. Most of Del's writings have been computer-related, but this is more fun.
Carmen works in several mediums, but whether she's making a custom set of chess pieces, carving a doll head from an old bed post, or drawing characters for a children's book, the result is guaranteed to exemplify intrigue. Her animal characters show their teeth when they're angry, have rounded tummies when they've just eaten, and help to tell the story with their facial expressions.
