About the Author

Born and raised in San Bernardino, California, Jacqueline Centofanti-Diaz has been a Registered Dental Assistant since 1984. With twenty-three years of experience in dental care, Jacqueline believes that everyone should strive for strong, healthy teeth, and that teaching proper dental care to young children is where it all begins.

In 1995, she wrote Healthy Teeth are Happy Teeth to enhance the Dental Health Outreach programs which she presents to pre-and early elementary school children. Over the years, the story, originally in the form of a giant flip book, has been read to over 5,000 children. Finally, with the publishing of this small book, teachers, parents, and children can now hold it and read it on their own.

Jacqueline currently works for a pediatric dentist in Palm Springs while continuing to bring her Healthy Teeth are Happy Teeth program into schools throughout the valley.

Jacqueline lives with her family in Morongo Valley, California, where, for trick-or-treaters, she's been the Toothbrush Lady for as long as they can remember.
