About the Book
If you enjoy a thrill ride through the underbelly of society, where the violent acts of criminals are outmatched by only those wearing badges, then this is one story not to be missed.
Just Us will transport the adult reader into the seedy world of organized crime, where vicious criminals and murderous government officials have forged a partnership to expand their interest in a criminal empire beyond its previous territorial borders. Nearly reaching the peak of a complete monopoly over the drug trade, the once infallible alliance is then put to the ultimate test when the members of the cartel are being systematically murdered in the most gruesome of ways.
Trent Varus, one of the organization's first victims, his faith in the judicial system shattered, has appealed his way out of prison and is obsessed with avenging the death of his family and the obliteration of his own life. He is desensitized to all human suffering and will not stop until there's a wake of death in his path.
Homicide Detective Erik Lomax is only months away from retirement when he finds that his friend has tricked him into accepting several cases within a murderous triangle of homicidal maniacs. He has no allies, no chance for escape, and death is almost certain
About the Author
Keith Robert Lugo was born in Torrance, California in 1965, the first son of Robert and Virginia Lugo. Since his father worked long hours to provide for his family during Keith's childhood years, it was Virginia who stayed at home and raised her sons. Keith was avidly involved in sports during his youth, belonging to many organizations, including the American Youth Soccer Organization, Pop Warner Football, Wrestling, American Bicycle Association (BMX) and both the Amateur Bowling Tour (ABT) and the National Amateur Bowling Institute (NABI). During his later teenage years, until succumbing to several sport related injuries, Keith competed in bodybuilding. His parents were always present to offer their support.
Keith attended grammar school in Bakersfield, California and then Vista High School, graduating in 1983. He graduated from M.E.T.C. (Micro-Electronics Training Center) toward the end of 1984, then went to work for Micro Probe Inc., located in the area of San Diego, California. In 1993, Keith finished writing his first novel Dream Kill. However, due to circumstances at the time, he opted to shelve the finished novel, choosing to pursue other interests. Over the course of four years, Keith attended several vocational classes such as landscaping, masonry and horticulture, none proved to satisfy. In February of 2001, Keith graduated from Blackstone School of Law. Keith published his first novel Just Us in February of 2008, with Trafford Publishing. Filled with a new writer's excitement over the possible future, he intends to publish two more finished works within the next six months. The first is a novel titled Dream Kill, the very same book that was completed over fifteen years ago, while the other is titled Condemned by Fate.
Although Keith utilizes much of his free time assisting those who cannot afford an attorney to petition the courts, a new focus has been placed on pursuing a career as a professional novelist. Keith currently resides in Northern California, where he is writing his fourth novel.
