About the Book

Sacha, Max, and the Animals consists of two half-books bound back to back. The front cover, shown here, is entitled The Book of Sacha and Sacha*s Animals; the back cover is entitled The Book of Max and Animal Tales.

In the Book of Max, the hero must solve 4 separate problems through his social skill and intelligence. The first is political involving a magician; the rest demand deductive reasoning and compassion.

In the Book of Sacha, all the stories involve her ability to talk Cat (the language of cats) and Animal Patois (the language of all animals).

In the Animal Tales and the collection of Sacha's Animals, all the animals can talk and communicate with Sacha and with each other.



About the Author

John Mogan was born in Toronto and raised at Paris in western Ontario. After graduating from high school there, he studied English Language and Literature at the University of Toronto, where he took his BA (1951) and his MA (1957). He taught English at Etobicoke Collegiate in Toronto, and entered Medicine in 1957. He went into Family Practice from 1963 until 1969, when he was granted a Harvard Fellowship in Psychiatry. He practises medicine and psychiatry in Massachusetts, Maine, and Arizona.
