Woven in Woodside and la Honda on the San Francisco peninsula. Hard hitting action, breathtaking romance, immense wealth, buried treasure and a miracle that changes lives cap this exciting work.
This fast moving, easy reading novel takes place on the San Francisco penninsula in the wealthy community of Woodside and the rugged mountain area of La Honda, sloping down to the blue Pacific.
Joey was raised by his dad in the Mission District of S.F. He developed into a tough young Golden Glove boxer; went to Stanford on a boxing scholarship after his fathers death.
While at Stanford Joey met Crissy a visiting young blonde Swedish girl and fell madly in love with her. After a brief romantic encounter she unexpectedly returned to Sweden, leaving Joey in a state of devestation.
A chance meeting with Carlos Castillo at the Peanut Farm saloon in Woodside led to his involovement with Franchette " Frankie" Castillo and the immensely wealthy family.
The Castillo fortune had been left to them by their grandfather, Francisco, Carlos Castillo who had mysteriously disappeared and never found.
The intense love affair developing between Frankie and Joey was threatened when Crissey's sister Nicole's letter arrived telling of Crissy's death and had born Joey's son Joey jr and prayed that he would accept him as his.
A miracle occured which saved Frankie and Joey from a terrible death turned Frankie's brother Carlos away from an unfilled life to a desire to have what he saw Joey possessed with his sister Frankie.
Carlos's wish was fullfilled when lovely Nicole brought Joey's son JJ from Sweden and his love for Nicole brought Carlos to his knees.
An unexpected assult upon Carlos's vast Spanish land grant from a treasure seeking conglomerate renewed their search for the source of the Castillo family fortune.
About the Author
Strangely enough I find it more difficult to write a few lines about myself than it was to create my novel.
Born in Oak Park, ILL., moved to the San Francisco peninsula as a teenager really enjoying the change of scenery and climate and the bronzed, beautiful bodies of the posturing young gals - enough to start a dead engine.
Did a three year stint in the Air Corp during WW2 and three days after discharge went to work for my dad who had just shipped in from combating the Japanese in the South Pacific.
Now live in Los Osos, Ca. within walking distance of the blue waters of the Pacific Ocean. I give credit to my lovely wife, Sally for keeping me on the road to finishing what I feel you will agree with me was a worthy endeavor-(The Castillo Legacy)
