Imagine having a zoo full of animals as your very best friends! Bailey did, and these animal friends decided to do something very special for her.
About the Book
Bailey lived with her grandparents on a farm. All her friends from school lived at least a mile away but, fortunately, just a short distance from her grandparents’ house was a small petting zoo run by Mr. Potter.
Bailey would visit the zoo whenever she could. Mr. Potter would even let her visit when the zoo was closed, since he lived in a house next door. As time went on, Bailey grew to love the animals and they loved Bailey. In fact, the animals and Bailey seemed to understand each other. She would talk to them and they would talk to her.
One day, the animals got together and decided to do something special for Bailey, since it was her birthday. This is the story of that special day.
