Fril's renegade Toxiks have captured the Rangers, the Elders have disappeared, and Kirra the boomerang seems to have deserted them. Will Cockatoo Clan help Boomer and the animals fix things?

About the Book
The Rangers continue their adventures in the Australian Outback after escaping from the clutches of the renegade Lizard Clan leader Fril, and her evil Toxiks. The thirteen teenaged animals, lead by Boomer and including a feisty band of kangaroos, wallabies, emus, possums, and Jakko, the wise-cracking kookaburra, are mostly still morphed into "Fellers", and using the gadgets and weapons of the distant future in an effort to fix the worst excesses of the past.
Their transformation into humans was fun, except for Billy-Jo Blake, an intellectual carpet python who just can't get the hang of arms and legs! But now they realise they must first fix their own society's injustices, and come to terms with their Elders' well-meaning but inadequate approach, before they can help the Fellers.
For the Cockatoos have revealed exactly how it came to pass that the old world of the Fellers was destroyed, and confirm that the few survivors they have seen are now little more than refugees in the ruined cities.
Fril, propelled into this post-apocalyptic era with a mere three followers has herself been miraculously transformed. Charismatic and saintly, with her entourage of brethren she seems to have won the hearts and minds of the Fellers.
All should be well, but an ancient weapon of mass destruction has once more begun ticking away, and the Rangers and some old friends from the past must come together with the ex-Toxiks and reach some common understanding, if they are to stop it in time.
